Good morning. Nice to meet you. How are you? I hope you are well today.
Before beginning our today’s lesson , let’s do the circle and say each other the best
wishes.

Now, guys I will give you these sheet of papers, you should choose one of them. I
will divide you into two group according to your papers.
First team: “Qazaqstan” and the second team is “Discovery channel”.
Let's start our lesson. The theme of our lesson is Reality TV. Today we are going
to discuss TV shows . We’ll listen to the tape, read texts, do many lexical and
grammar exercises.
b/ Brainstorming
Slide # 1I would like you to look at the board! What kinds of programmes do you like?

T: Give the definition of these types of TV programmes.
Phoneina programme, in which people telephone to give their opinions or
ask famous person questions.
Game show/ quiz show – a programme where people play games and answer

The news – a programme which tells you about all the important events that
are happening in the world.

Documentary – a programme that gives you facts and information about a
serious subjects such as history, sciences or social problems.

On the board there are photos of popular reality TV shows in our country
T Look at these TV shows in our country and try to give much information
about them. What kind of things do people do on these shows?P1. “Who wants to be a millionaire?" It is a game show where the player is
asked different questions. I find this programme clever and informative and try
not to miss it.

together to discuss different problems.
P3 “Kalaylym” A single man or a woman comes to this show to find their better
half. Sometimes they get married.

P: People, who are close argue and get frustrated with each other when they are

T: Our class has a TV presenter. Now come to the board and tell us about your
job.S: I, Baltabayev Arsen, work as a TV presenter of “Enbekermek” program at
Balapan TV channel. I joined the channel a year and a half ago. Among many
applicants I was selected for this position. I like speaking in front of the camera.
Now I have telecasted two seasons of the program. In the future I want to be an
actor. I will do my best to make this dream come true.
