Урок 7. Роль семьи и друзей в жизни подростков

Цели: развитие навыков изучающего чтения по теме «Семья и друзья»; активизация навыков устной речи; закрепление лекси­ческих навыков и навыков перевода.

Ход урока

I.  Организационный момент

II.  Фонетическая зарядка

-      You can see two columns of words on the blackboard. Will you read them aloud, in a whisper? Let's read them after Kate. Can you match the words from the first column and the second one to make up the word combinations?

Уче­ники читают слова. Задание - соотнести слова из первого и второго столбиков и со­ставить словосочетания.

Примерные слова на карточках:

to ignore                            jealous

to deserve                          people

to envy                               friends

to betray                             parents

to appreciate                     relatives

to support                          quarrels

to avoid                              family

to feel                                 each other

Примерные словосочетания:

To feel jealous, to avoid quarrels, to ignore friends, to support each other, to betray people, to envy your friends, etc.

III.  Речевая разминка

-      Now you will agree or disagree with my statements. We'll have a talk about the role of friends and family in the life of people. If you agree with me, repeat my statement. If you disagree with me, share your ideas.

Задание - выразить своё согласие или не­согласие с утверждениями учителя.

Примерные утверждения:

1. Old and young people always see the world in the same way. (/ disagree with you. Old and young people often see the world in the different way:)

2.  Life isn't worth living without friends. (/ agree with you. Life isn't worth living without friends.)

3.  Nearly every household has at least one television set. (I agree with you. Nearly every household has at least one television set.)

4.  Friends always support you in different situations. (/ disagree with you. Friends can betray you.)

5.  We should take care of our relatives and friends. (/ agree with you. We should take care of our relatives and friends.)

6.  Your family is more important to you than your friends. {I agree with you. My family is more important to me than my friends.)

7.  You can ask your parents for advice. (/ disagree with you. My parents don't understand me. I can't ask my parents for advice.)

8.  You never quarrel with your friends. {I disagree with you. I often quarrel with my friends.) Etc.

IV. Проверка домашнего задания

-      We can see that you have different opinions about families and friends. Some pupils say that the family means a lot for them and their relatives are more important to them than friends. Other children think that friends are everything for them. Open your textbooks, page 21, exercise 30. Let's remember the texts we read yesterday. You will read the sentences to prove my ideas.

После проведения речевой разминки учитель предлагает уча­щимся вспомнить тексты из упр. 30, стр. 21 из учебника. Задание для учеников - найти и прочитать из текста предложения, которые подтверждают высказывания учителя.

Примерные утверждения учителя:

1. Alan's family always support him.

2.    Julia can't imagine her life without friends.

3.    Alan is sure that his friends often envy him.

4.   Catherine thinks that it is difficult to find a real friend.

5.  Julia enjoys spending time with her friends.

6.  Catherine sometimes ignores her parents' advice.

VI.  Закрепление лексических навыков и навыков перевода

-      It's time to look through the text again and find the sentences with -ing forms. It's exercise 31, page 22 in your textbooks. Will you read the task? Who is ready to read the sentences an translate them?

стр. 22, упр. 31. После чтения задания данного упражнения учащиеся зачитывают вслух предложения с -ing формами и переводят их.

VII.  Активизация навыков диалогической речи

-      I'd like you to work in pairs. Look at the task of exercise 32, page 22 in your textbooks. You will prepare two questions and ask your partner to answer them. We shall discuss the role of family and friends in our life.

Учащиеся делятся на пары для выполнения упр. 32, стр. 22 из учебника.

Примерные вопросы учащихся:

1.  Can you find real friends easily?

2.  Are your parents ready to help you in a difficult situation?

3.  Do you always follow your parents' advice?

4.   Have your friends ever betrayed you?

5.  Do you appreciate your friends' advice?

6.  Do you and your parents see the world in the same way?

7.  What do you and your friends like doing together?

8.  How often do you quarrel wit your friends (parents)? Etc.

VIII.  Активизация навыков монологической речи

-      It is interesting to find out your opinion about the ideas of the teenagers from exercise 30, page 21. You will work in groups of 4 and comment on each of the texts. The beginnings of the sentences from exercise 33, page 22, will help you to share your ideas. Don't forget to give the arguments to prove your opinion.

упр. 33, стр. 22 из учебника. Ученики делятся на группы по 4 человека. В конце урока представители от каждой группы высказывают мнение своей груп­пы по текстам из упр. 30, стр. 21.

IX. Подведение итогов урока

Домашнее задание Рабочая тетрадь: упр. 5, стр. 8.
