“Shopping around”

Aims:

2) to develop student’s thinking and memory

3) to promote cooperation in class

I. Organizational and motivating stage. Organization moment. Greeting.

- Good morning. Sit down, please. We are going to revise  our active vocabulary  and grammar material.

Let’s begin our lesson. So the theme of today’s lesson is “Shopping around” and that means we are going to speak about shops and shopping, and about everything connected with this theme.

 II.  Let’s repeat the tongue twister:

Betty bought a bit of butter, but the butter was so bitter. So she bought some better butter to make the bitter butter better. (1min)

III. Warm-up

 Answer the questions:

1. What types of shops do you remember?

(Department store, chemists, newsagents, bakery, supermarket, sweet shop, book shop)

2. What can we buy at these shops?

 We can buy ….at the department store, chemists, newsagents, bakery, supermarket, sweet shop, book shop.

3. What shops have you got not far from your house?

4. What is your favorite shop? Why? (2min)

You have been working hard this week, so I’d like you to relax a bit. Watch a film and while watching do a test.
