Procedure
Organizing: (1 min)– Hello, boys and girls. I’m glad to see you. Sit down. Who is absent?
Warming up: (2 min) Let’s divide into 4 groups ( MixFreezeGroup) (song by Lenka)
Questions: 1)What is your favourite mark at school? 2)How many wheels has a very big
bicycle? 3) How many legs has an elephant?
So, you have built new teams. Say Hello! to your face and shoulder partners using the Manage
Mat on the desks.
Last week you had holidays. I am sure you spent it wonderful! First think and then share your
experience in groups. (Timed Round Robbin) What is a common activity in your team?
What did you learn about your partner? Well done! Thank you. And now let’s get down to
business.
1. Introduction . (Teacher – students interaction based on the training film) Let us watch a
humorous video . Note, that the characters of this film have rather strange pronunciation, so it’s
advisable to follow the titles. (film) Teacher: Did you enjoy the video? What is it about? What information should be included in the
CV? How to prepare for a job interview.? Would you like to learn some useful tips so that you
will be successful at the Job Interview? You will find the answers to some questions at today’s
lesson. So, the topic of our lesson is «Job Interview». ( slide)
2.Introduction a new vocabulary: Which qualities are necessary for these jobs? (Rally Robin)
p.30, ex.3,4 ,(slide.)
3.Reading and discussing ( dialog p.30,ex.1) Which qualities has Emily? Which job would
suit Emily best?
4.Grammar. Questions tags. When do we use them? Add question tags to the statements
(flashcards on the desks) teamwork
5.Listening: a job interview (p.30,ex.6) Which of the jobs is it for? Number the questions in the
order you hear them. ) teamwork
6. Speaking. Development of analysing and making decision skills. (Teacher – students
interaction based on slides) Watching a film. (A/R Guide) On your desks you have a list of
tips in order to be successful at a job interview. Look through and agree or disagree with them.
Put + and (before watching)
We are going to watch a training film. Focus on your statements.
(after watching) Now, students, read the statements once again. Put + and if you have changed
your opinion. Discuss the points you have changed IN YOUR TEAMS. What statements are
the most important for a successful job interview?
8. Speaking in a dialog. . You can see, there are a number of good interview questions that are
asked on a regular basis at the interview. As an applicant, you must be prepared for the most
commonly asked interview questions. There is a list of such questions on your flash cards.
Now, students, you will work in pairs and try to make up a dialogue. Let one of you be the
Manager and the other one be an applicant. I’d like you to act out a Job Interview. You will have
3 minutes to prepare your performance which will be assessed by your classmates.

Our lesson is coming to the end. I hope you’ll make a strong impression at the job interview
and hopefully you’ll get a chance to answer one final question, ‘When can you start?’
