Конспект урока по теме «British holidays» («Британские праздники») УМК «Enjoy English» М.З. Биболетовой, 6 класс Цель урока­ познакомить учащихся  с британскими праздниками. Задачи урока­ 1) тренировать изученную лексику по теме «Праздники»                            2) формировать навыки монологической речи и чтения                            3)повысить интерес учащихся к английскому языку          Оборудование: слайдовая презентация, компьютер и мультимедийный  проектор, магнитофон,  открытки, учебник . Методы:   беседа,   тестирование,   метод   решения   задач   творческого   уровня, выполнение воспроизводящих упражнений. Технологии: Компьютерные (новые информационные) технологии обучения    Ход урока. 1. Оргмомент T: Good morning all! Sit down, please. What date is it today? What day of the  week is it? Do you like today's weather? Describe it. 2. Основной этап. Установка на урок. Фонетическая зарядка (повторение изученной  лексики) Today we are going to talk about British holidays. Слайд 1  First of all let's review our words and word expressions regarding to our theme.   Cлайд 2 Words and word expressions: New Year,  Christmas, Easter, Halloween, Birthday, Mother‘s day, St. Valentine’s Day, Women’s Day.  Слайд 3 to celebrate holiday;  to congratulate relatives; to buy presents; to cook special (tasty) dishes; to visit friends; to make (give) flowers and presents; to decorate the room; to enjoy the holiday; to invite relatives. What holidays will be in May? And also The British people will celebrate Mother's Day soon. Let's read and translate the text about this day. Who wants to start?  (you are welcome!) Cлайд 13, 14,15        In many places around the world people celebrate mothers’ day on various days because the day has a number of different origins. In Britain there is also a holiday which people call Mother's Day. In the old days many girls from poor families in the country worked in rich houses. They did all the house work and their working day was usually very long. They often worked on Sundays, too. Once a year, it was usually a Sunday in March, they could visit their mothers.         They went home on that day and brought presents for their mothers and for other members of their families. They could stay at home only one day and then they went back to their work. People called that day Mothering Day or Mothering Sunday.            Later workers at the factories and girls who worked in the houses of rich families received one free day a week, and Mothering Day became Mother's Day. On that day sons and daughters visit their mothers and bring them flowers and presents. The eldest son must bring his mother a good cake. If sons or daughters cannot be with their mother on that day, they usually send her presents. Mother's Day must be a day of rest for the mother of the family, so her daughters cook the dinner on that day and the sons help to wash the dishes.      Now Mother's Day in Britain is the second Sunday in May. In the United States  and Canada Mother's Day is also the second Sunday in May.
