Olechka Brusnikina came to the aquatics Palace on Mironovskaya Street in Moscow in group on synchronized swimming of trainer Elena Vyacheslavovna Chumakova.

Olga Brusnikina first attracted attention when, at the age of 14, she won all of the solo, duet and team events at the 1993 world junior synchro championships that earned her a standing ovation. That same year, she was a member of the Team that won at the European Championships.  After the Olympic Games of 1996, Russia’s dominance in Synchro became apparent when Olga won the 1997 World Cup (duet and team) and  never lost a major international competition for the next seven years, including the 2000 Sydney Olympic Games (duet and team) and 2004 Athens Games (team, did not compete in duet).

Family

In 1994 Olga Brusnikina makes acquainted with the future husband – water-polo player Sergei Evstigneev. The first time they saw each other in the World Cup in Rome. But got married only after 7 years of acquaintance – in 2001.
On July 14, 2006 Brusnikina gave birth to the son whom named Ilya

LIFE Today

Olga Brusnikina — "the honored master of sports of the Russian Federation ", the triple Olympic champion in synchronized swimming, the repeated world champion and Europe, it has a rank of the major of FSB, is awarded by a medal of honor, the award "For Merits before the Fatherland" of the IV degree.
Olga Brusnikina opened school of synchronized swimming in the Moscow region. For today she is the vice-president of Federation of synchronized swimming of the Russian Federation, the president of Federation of synchronized swimming of the Moscow region. Conducts big public work and is the Chairman of the commission of athletes at the Russian Olympic Committee.
