Домашнее задание:
1. Приветствие команд (защита имени).
2. Разминка.
1. Конкурс «Лестница».
Цель: активизация языкового чутья, смыслового восприятия иноязычного материала.
Ход: игроки рисуют лестницу из 8 ступенек, на которых нужно написать слова, обозначающие эмоциональное состояние человека, и расположить их по степени экспрессивности, а также обосновать предлагаемую последовательность.

2. Конкурс 'Choosing the user'. Complete the sentences below by choosing a suitable word from the ones on the right. Use each world once only.

3. Конкурс 'Forming idioms of comparison'.
Complete each of them with a suitable word or words. Choose from the following: chalk from cheese, a bee, a bat, a goose, coal, gold, two peas, a king, a feather, a church mouse, the grave.

4. Конкурс «Пантомима».
Ход: от каждой команды выставить по одной паре. Команда получает карточку, на которой написан небольшой диалог, даны названия некоторых предметов, служащих смысловыми опорами. Игроки разыгрывают диалог средствами пантомимы. Другая команда должна вербализовать диалоги и синхронизировать их с пантомимой. Сравнить с исходным диалогом.
Dialogue 1.
Situation: a girl meets her girl-friend in the headphones.
Materials needed: walkman.
A.What are you listening to?
B. Pardon?
A.What are you listening to?
B. Sorry, I can't hear you, I'm listening to Michael Jackson.
A. Will you take off you head phones?
B. What did you say?
A.Good grief.
Dialogue 2.
Situation: Some people are working in the library reading-room. A little boy is playing with his pen and causing much noise. The librarian asks him to stop it.
Materials needed: table 'Library'.
Librarian: Excuse me. Will you be quiet please?
Boy: Pardon?
L. I said, will you be quiet, please?
B. I'm sorry, can you say that again?
L. Silence in the library!
B. What did you say?
L. I said, be quiet!
B. What?
L. Shut up!!!
5. Конкурс «Пойми меня».
Оборудование: бумага и ручка для каждого игрока.
Ход: Give the definition of a particular word.
Работа по цепочке. Все игроки команды, кроме одного, выходят из помещения. Ему показывают табличку с написанным на ней словом. Он должен объяснить следующему игроку значение слова таким образом, чтобы тот угадал это слово. В процессе угадывания вариант вслух не произносится, а записывается. Каждый игрок дает своё определение, не повторяясь.

6. Конкурс «Уличный сонат».
Цель: демонстрация навыков и умений лексико-грамматического оформления речевых высказываний.
Ход: ведущий просит игроков представить, что они идуг по шумному людному парку и попробовать лишь по доносящимся звукам представить себе зрительно, что происходит вокруг, и описать все события, используя времена Present Continuous, Present Indefinite, Present Perfect, а также нарисовать внешний облик некоторых отдыхающих или служащих, угадать, куда они идут, их характеры, вкусы.

8. Конкурс команд. a) Forming new words. Add two letters to each of the words in any place to form a new word. A clue is given to help you.

b) Verbs and adverbs.
Игроки образуют пары. На столе лежат 2 стопки карточек. В 1-й стопке находятся глаголы, обозначающие действия, в другой - наречия, поясняющие эти действия. Первый игрок берет карточку с глаголом, второй - с наречием. Пара должна изобразить действие, написанное на карточке. Игроки команды должны догадаться, какое действие они изображают, какие глаголы и наречия иллюстрируют, и назвать их.

Read through the dialogue and try to work out instead of which words the above words are used.

A. Because everyone should cabbage children.
B. Why?
A. Well, strawberry's only natural.
B. I disagree, I egg carrot there are far too many children in the world already and certainly banana want to add to the numbers.

На карточках - инициативные и ответные реплики, которые раздаются игрокам. Задача - найти вторую реплику шутки и разыграть ее.
