Путешествие в Лондон

Цели: тренировка навыков диалогической речи; совершенствование навыков монологической речи; воспитание любознательности и толерантности.

Ход мероприятия

I. Организационный момент

- Good morning, boys and girls (Good morning!)

- I  am glad to see you. (We are glad to see you too.)

~ How are you? (We are fine, thanks. And how are you?)

- I am OK, thank you.

- Sit down, please. Today we shall have a competition "A Trip to London". Let's divide into two teams. You will have

different tasks. You must be active and friendly.

Учитель сообщает детям о проведении ролевой игры-соревнования «Путешествие в Лондон». Учащиеся делятся на две команды - две группы туристов. За каждый конкурс команда может получить до 3 жетонов. Если при выполнении задания  Дети допускают ошибки (грамматические или лексические) или Не укладываются во времени, команда получает меньшее количество баллов.

Проведение игры-соревнования

Конкурс 1. «Визитная карточка*

Учитель предлагает учащимся от каждой команды рассказать о себе и своих друзьях - членах команды.

Примерный рассказ ученика:

Hello! My name is Helen. I am ten years old. I study in the fourth form. I like music. I can dance very well. I like my school. I have many friends. My friends are kind, clever and helpful. I think it is very important to have good friends. A friend in need is a friend indeed. We would like to visit London.

Конкурс 2. «Поговорим о погоде»

As you know the English people often talk about weather. Ask the some questions about the weather and they will answer them.

Учитель предлагает командам составить вопросы о погоде и предложить противоположной команде ответить на них.

Конкурс З. *Расскажи о достопримечательностях Лондона*

—Will you look at the blackboard? What can you see on the blackboard? (We can see the pictures of places of interest.)

—Can you name the places of interest? {Trafalgar Square, Big Ben, Westminster Abbey, the Houses of Parliament, The BloodyTower, Buckingham Palace, The Tower of London, the Thames, Oxford Street).

—The task for you is to describe the interesting places. Who is ready to start?

Учитель привлекает внимание детей к картинкам, заранее развешенным на доске. Ученики из разных команд по очереди представляют рассказы о достопримечательностях Лондона.

Примерные рассказы детей:

1. The centre of London is Trafalgar Square. It is the most beautiful place in London. There are two fountains in the square. They are in front of the National Gallery which is one of the best picture galleries of the world. Every day many tourists visit this fine building with tall columns.

2. London is the biggest city in Great Britain. There are Jots of places to visit there. You can visit many beautiful churches in London. One of them is St. Paul's Cathedral. It is not far from the Tower of London. It was built in the seventeenth century. It is a beautiful building with many columns and towers.

3. The Tower of London is the museum now. But it was a fortress, a palace, a prison and the King's Zoo. Its walls are white and very tall. William the Conqueror built it in the eleventh century. There are always twelve black ravens in the Tower of London.

Конкурс 4. Разговор с продавцом

- You would like to buy some souviners for your friends. Следующее задание для команд — разыграть диалоги «В магазине». Представитель от одной команды является продавцом, а представитель от другой команды - покупателем.

- Good morning! Can I help you?

- Yes, you can. I would like to buy a present for my friend.

- What is the hobby of your friend?

- He likes to sing songs and he can play the guitar very well.

- He is fond of music, isn't he?

- Yes, he is. Do you have any CD?

- Yes, we do. This CD will be a good present for your friend.

- Thank you very much. You are very kind.

Конкурс 5. «Потерялся турист»

~ Your friend has lost. Describe him to the policeman.

Учитель объясняет учащимся условия следующего конкурса.Ученики выбирают одного из членов своей команды в качестве потерявшегося туриста. Противоположная команда заслушивает описание и определяет, кто из учеников был загадан.

Примерное описание ученика:

This pupil is not very tall. He has blue eyes, a round face and dark hair. This pupil likes to wear jeans and a jacket. He is friendly and kind. He has many friends.

Конкурс 6. Стихи и песни

Учитель предлагает учащимся исполнить песни и рассказать стихи по теме «Лондон». Tick-tock, tick-tock, This is Big Ben. Big Ben is a clock. Day and night With all its might Big Ben, the clock, Says: "Tick-tock". Up, down, up, down, Which is the way To London town? Where? Where? Up in the air, Close your eyes –And you are there! Over the mountains, Over the plains, Over the rivers Here come trains. Carrying passengers, Carrying mail, Over the country Here come trains.

III. Подведение итогов

- That's all for today. Thank you for your work. You were active

and friendly today. I think both teams are the winners today.

Together, together

We work and play.

- Good-bye, my children! {Good-bye, teacher!)
