Рождество

Цели: обобщение изученного материала по темам «Праздники» и «Рождество»; актуализация лексических и грамматических навыков; поддержание интереса к изучению английского языка.

Оборудование: картинки по темам «Зима» и «Рождество», снежинки для украшения комнаты; атрибуты и костюмы для сценки «Старуха, дверь закрой!»; костюмы Зимы и зимних месяцев; 40 снежинок; снежки из ваты.

Комментарии для учителя: перед проведением данного праздника учитель знакомит учащихся с историей данного праздника, разучивает с ними стихи и песни. Можно организовать конкурс на лучшую открытку или рисунок, посвященный теме Рождества и Нового года. Дети готовят соответствующие костюмы и маски. Мероприятие может быть проведено во внеурочное время или в рамках урока иностранного языка. В качестве ведущих выступают ученики. Кабинет английского языка оформляется стенгазетой, вырезанными из бумаги снежинками, в вечернее время можно зажечь свечи. Отдельно оформляется стенгазета и стенд с работами детей: открытками и приглашениями на праздник, посвященный Рождеству.

Примерное содержание стенгазеты:

In the weeks before Christmas people are busy. They make or buy Christmas cards and send them to their friends, grandparents, cousins, aunts and uncles. They also buy Christmas presents. Many children make their Christmas cards at school. People buy Christmas trees and put them in their living rooms. The children decorate the Christmas tree with toys and little coloured lights. There are beautiful Christmas decorations in the streets. On Christmas Eve everybody puts their presents under the Christmas tree. People say that at night Father Christmas puts presents into the stockings which children usually hang on their beds. The traditional Christmas meal is roast turkey and Christmas pudding. For most British families, Christmas is the most important festival of the year, it combines the Christian celebrations of the birth of Christ with the traditional festivities of winter.

Учащиеся делятся на две команды. Каждая команда получает по 20 снежинок, среди которых по 4 пары одинаковых. За 2 мин команды должны отыскать парные снежинки. Побеждает команда, которая выполнила задание правильно и быстро. Во время выполнения задания можно включить музыку (английские песенки).
