(Famous musicians. John Lennon)

Для учащихся 7 класса

      Цель: Развитие иноязычной коммуникативной компетенции учащихся по теме «Музыка»

      Задачи:

Практические:

Ø  познакомить учащихся с жизнью и творчеством Джона Леннона;

Ø  развивать у учащихся умения монологической и диалогической речи;

Ø   развивать у учащихся умения понимать иноязычную информацию на слух;

Ø  развивать умения находить необходимую информацию в тексте;

Воспитательные:

Ø   формировать у учащихся уважение и интерес к культуре других стран;

Ø   формировать потребность в практическом использовании английского языка в социально-культурной сфере;

Ø   воспитывать культуру общения.

Развивающие:

Ø  развивать у учащихся  умение анализировать информацию, выделять главное;

Образовательные:

Ø  обобщить и расширить знания учащихся о мировом художественном наследии;

Ø  расширить общий и лингвистический кругозор учащихся.

Оборудование: магнитофон, диск с записями различных музыкальных произведений, раздаточный материал с текстами биографии Джона Леннона с пропущенной информацией, раздаточный материал с текстом песни,

 Ход урока:

-who dreams of being a  famous pop star?

 

3 Listening

Do you like listening to music? Can you easily identity different types of music? Check your abilities. Listen to the six pieces of music and categorize them under the following headings-

Today you are going to read the text about one of the most famous musician of Great Britain and have a talk on his live and work.

Look at the portrait. Do you know who this man is?  Are these statements true or false?

-John Lennon was born in America.

-He started his first band in 1955, it was called the Quarrymen.

- In 1957 John Lennon met Paul McCartney and together they formed a new band.

- After the Beatles had broken up in 1970 John started a solo career.

- He sang only about love and happiness.

I am to  give you a biography of John Lennon with some missing information. You need to ask your partner questions in the past simple to complete your variant of the musician’s biography.

 Students work in pairs, ask questions and complete their worksheets. They can check their results together at the end of the work and read through the text again.
