Цели урока: - формировать чувство ответственности за сопричастность к проблемам экологии; - вырабатывать логическое мышление, умение сопоставлять, давать оценку, выражать свое мнение; - активизировать лексику по видам деятельности – чтение, письмо; - подготовить учащихся к устному монологическому высказыванию по теме. Оборудование: Таблицы на доске; раздаточный материал, тесты, упражнения, презентация учащихся (интерактивная доска) Ход урока 1. Организационный момент. Приветствие. Знакомство с темой. T.:  The theme of our lesson for today is “Environmental Protection”. The problem of the lesson is the global situation in ecology and what we can do with it. Let’s begin. 2. Основная часть урока. Повторение лексики. На партах карточки со словами. Учащиеся читают слова по карточкам. Environmental, ecology, pollution, overcrowding, destruction, resources, cause, habitat, littering, living things. The task is to read the meaning and guess the word: 1)   The   scientific   study   of   the   natural   relations   of   plants,   animals,   people. (Ecology) 2) The act of making air, water, land dangerously impure. (Pollution) 3) Too many people in our place. (Overcrowding) 4) The act of throwing things away untidily. (Littering) 5)   The   act   of   destroying,   putting   an   end   to   the   existence   of   something. (Destruction) 6) Plants, animals, people. (Living things) 7) The natural home of a plant or animal. (Habitat) 8) Surroundings, circumstances and influences. (Environment) 9) Something which can help in doing something that can be turned to for support and help. (Resources) 10) That which produces an effect or event. (Cause)    Активизация лексики. The task is “Fill in the blanks” The Earth is our ________. We must take care of it. The importance of this task is _________ by the ecologists, scientists,  who study the relations  between living things and their _________. Each of us must do everything possible to _______   the   land,   air   and   water   clean.   Of   course,   people   undertake   some measures to _________ the environment, but this activity is complicated by the economic difficulties. Use the following words to complete the text:  protect, home, keep, pointed out, environment.   Расширение темы. T:There is a nice saying on the board today. Will you read and translate it? (Один из учеников читает и переводит высказывание) “We do not own the Earth, we have borrowed it from the future generation.” T.: What does it mean? На  доске  написаны  опорные  словосочетания:  “take care  of…”, “think only about today”, “keep… for your children”. T:  At present the developing of human  civilization harms the environment. Animals are in danger. Why? Why do people kill them? (Ученики дают свои ответы на вопрос) T: Will you tell us about the animals, which are in danger today? (Презентация детей о животных)    T: Have you got any questions? (дети задают вопросы выступающим по презентации)    Работа с текстом “Environmental Protection” Учащиеся   работают   с   текстом   самостоятельно:   читают,   понимают общее содержание, затем выполняют небольшой тест по тексту. T:  Look on the board, here is a little test – complete the sentences using the right word, we’ll see how you understand the text.    T.: What do we need to do to keep our planet clean? (Ответы учащихся) T: Everybody understands that it is necessary to understand some measures in order to save our planet, to make our cities safe to live in, to make water in rivers clean to drink it.  3. Заключительная часть урока. Подведение итогов. T: At the end of our lesson, please answer my questions. What can we do to keep the Earth clean and healthy? What should be done to change the existing situation? (Ответы учащихся) Please complete the following sentences: 1) Try not to buy pre­packaged food because … 2) Use less washing up liquid because … 3) Use public transport because … 4) Never light fires in forests because … 5) Do not drop rubbish in the streets because … 6) Do not throw plastic bottles into the sea because … (Students should give their own answers)      T:  That’s fine and now writes down your home task. You should write   the composition on the theme “Ecological problems in the modern world” (140 words) The lesson is over. Good­bye.
