4.2.4.1 respond to questions on an increasing range of general and some curricular topics;

4.5.4.1 use determiners a/an, the, zero article to refer to our planet’s treasure on a growing range of general and some curricular topics;

 

Lesson objectives

Learners will be able to:

-          find out  the main ideas in a short conversation;

 

-          ask and answer open and closed questions related to the topic with support;

      -  complete the sentence about planet’s treasure with  a/an, the or zero article is needed.

 

 

Assessment criteria

Students achieve the learning objectives  if they are able to :

ü   recognize the main information  throw discussion;

ü  demonstrate ability to use determiners a/an, the or zero article;

ü  answer the questions related to the topic.

Activity 2. “Quiz and trаde” strategy.

(I) Students choose  a card with a names of the geographical objects with determiners a/an,  the or zero article  and place them  into  the correct chest and give information about this geographical object. Then continue with аnother cаrd.

 

Differentiation by resource.  

Less able students choose cards with  names of geographical objects and put correct article

More able students will be given cards with geographical objects and with mistakes in the cards, they should correct a mistake and explain his/her opinion.

Students will be given a text and open and closed questions. Students should choose the 5 correct answers.

Less able students answer closed questions.
