Yesterday - вчера
Last evening/week/month/year - прошлым вечером/на прошлой неделе/в прошлом месяце/году
3. Two days ago/weeks/months ago - два дня назад/две недели назад/ два месяца назад.
4. In 2005 /1986/2010 - в 2005 году/в 1986/в 2010

-Did you watch TV last weekend?
-Yes, I did

-Did you play football last weekend?
-No, I didn’t

What did your partner do last weekend?

Kate watched TV last evening.

They played basketball yesterday.

Ann walked with her friends at the weekend.

Mike baked a cherry pie last evening.

With verbs ending in -e, we only add -d in the past simple positive.
dance - danced like – liked

With verbs ending in a consonant and –y , the -y changes into –ied
cry -cried
study -studied

With verbs ending in a vowel and -y, we add –ed
stay -stayed

With single-syllable verbs ending in a vowel and a consonant, we double the consonant and add -ed
stop -stopped
plan -planned
