Our Planet Earth Our planet is not the only one in the universe but is supposedly the only one which is inhabited by living creatures. We have all the necessary resources to live a happy life: clean water, fresh air, good nature, eatable plants. However, during the last century most scientists are worried that nature is under danger. Thus, people and all the living creatures that surround us are also endangered. The water in the global ocean is not so clean any more due to human reckless actions. Many useful plants are being cut down for creating newer industrial areas. Some animal species   are   disappearing   from   the   surface   of   the   Earth   and   that's   sorrowful. Knowing this, people from all the existing countries should remember that we are rather fragile. The human race can easily vanish leading such a reckless and carefree life. That's why certain groups of intelligent people build new eco­towns with vast green space, zero carbon, car­free zones, pedestrian and cycle­friendly areas, recycling facilities and many other environmentally friendly goods. Other than that, lots of work is done to make housing in such towns or settlements affordable. I would also like to add some facts about our planet and its features. First of all, it is proven that it's the third planet from the Sun. Another interesting fact is that the Earth is the only planet which is not named after ancient gods or goddesses.   At   the   moment   there   are   seven   other   planets   in   the   solar   system besides the Earth. For example, Mars, Venus, Jupiter, Saturn. Unfortunately, they are not well investigated by scientists as they are situated really far. Наша планета Земля Наша планета не является единственной во Вселенной, но, предположительно, она   единственная,   на   которой   обитают   живые   существа.   У   нас   есть   все необходимые ресурсы, чтобы жить счастливой жизнью: чистая вода, свежий воздух,   хорошая   природа,   пригодные   для   еды   растения.   Тем   не   менее,   в течение   последнего   столетия   большинство   ученых   обеспокоены   тем,   что природа находится под угрозой. Таким образом, люди и все живые существа, которые нас окружают, также находятся под угрозой исчезновения. Вода в Мировом океане уже не такая чистая, из­за бездумных действий человека. Многие полезные растения вырубаются ради создания новых промышленных зон. Некоторые виды животных исчезают с лица Земли, и это печально. Зная это, люди во всех существующих странах должны помнить, что мы довольно хрупкие. Человеческая раса может легко исчезнуть, если продолжит вести такую   же   безрассудную   и   беззаботную   жизнь.   Вот   почему   группы   умных людей   строят   новые   эко­города   с   огромным   зеленым   пространством, отсутствием углерода, зонами, свободными от автомобилей, пешеходными и велосипедными районами, возможностями для грамотной утилизации отходов и многими другими экологичными продуктами. Кроме того, много работы проделано, чтобы сделать жилье в таких городах или поселках доступным. Я хотел   бы   также   добавить   некоторые   факты   о   нашей   планете   и   ее характеристиках.  Во­первых,  доказано,  что  это  третья  планета  от  Солнца. Еще   один   интересный   факт   заключается   в   том,   что   Земля   является единственной планетой, которая не названа в честь древних богов или богинь. На данный момент в Солнечной системе существует еще семь планет, кроме Земли. Например, Марс, Венера, Юпитер, Сатурн. К сожалению, они не очень хорошо изучены учеными, поскольку расположены далеко. The Earth constantly rotates around its axis. She makes a full turn for 24 hours, that is for a day. Because of this rotation, there is a change of day and night. Слайд  7. The   Earth,   like   all   planets,   moves   around   the   SUN.   The   complete revolution around the SUN EART makes for 365 days, that is for a year. Because of this rotation, there is a change of seasons. Слайд 8. Especially­SOIL. Only our planet has soil (the upper fertile layer of the earth). The soil contains the substances necessary for the growth and development of plants. Слайд 9.
