First, listen to their English names.

писать и считать. Она появилась в 60х годах в
США, а теперь её знают и любят дети в 140
странах мира, но только в 20 странах, в том
числе и в России. Весёлые и любознательные
кукольные персонажи вместе с известными
актёрами и певцами поют, танцуют, рисуют,
познают окружающий мир. Давайте поближе
познакомимся с героями этой телепередачи.

In the second form eightyears old students have just
started learning English. The majority of students of the class have visual
and kinaesthetic learning style. Only 2 students have mixed learning style. Students have positive attitude to learning English, they ate

development of students in the intercultural dialogue. The main feature of the coursebook is the complex approach to the teaching
productive and receptive skills.
In the lesson students worked with the colours, personal pronouns: it, he, she; the verb to be (is/’s).
The presentation stage was organized with the help of Multisensory and Total Physical Response (TPR) approaches.
At the practice stage were used such activities as colouring, working with flashcards, singing song, reading and describing the
characters to each other.
Students liked learning new words and structures. They could describe the “Sesame Street” characters using the names of colours. At
the reflection stage they noticed that most of all they enjoyed such activities as miming, colouring and singing. The students’ answers and
the results of the reflection made me satisfied with the lesson and with the used teaching methods.
