В данном типе сочинения требуется выразить свою точку зрения на заданную тему, а так же привести противоположные вашей точки зрения точку зрения других людей и объяснить, почему вы с ними не согласны. Ваше мнение должно быть четко сформулировано и подкреплено примерами или доказательствами.

Объем сочинения 200-250 слов (минимум 180 слов, максимум 275)
Сочинение “expressing opinion” пишется в формальном (деловом) стиле, т.е. нельзя использовать разговорную речь, идиомы.
Запрещается использование сокращения, типа “I’m”, “they’re” “don’t”, “can’t”
Запрещается приводить личные примеры.

1 абзац. Introduction (вступление).Перефраз темы (объем 30-35 слов).

Вводное предложение общего характера.
(о ситуации по проблеме в целом) 1 предложение.
Переформулировать тему своими словами.
{одно сложное предложение или два простых}
Во вступлении необходимо четко сформулировать тему-проблему, указав, что существуют две противоположные точки зрения на проблему.
!!! Однако первое предложение не должно слово в слово повторять заданную тему сочинения.

1 абзацExtreme sports have taken off in a big way over the last twenty years. However, quite a few people object to these dangerous sports, highlighting the risk of accident.

There is no doubt that extreme sports are becoming more and more popular nowadays. Nevertheless, these sports are considered rather dangerous and it is difficult to understand why people put their lives at risk.
Modern life is impossible without mobile phones. Some people claim that mobile phones are very useful devices while others argue that life could be less stressful without them.

Выразить свою точку зрения. Привести 2-3 аргумента в защиту вашей точки зрения, один аргумент надо раскрыть более полно.

!!! Во втором абзаце вы должны придерживаться только ОДНОЙ точки зрения, например: In my opinion, mobile phones are very useful devices. ИЛИ I think, the mobile phone is a harmful and useless invention.

3 абзац. Обоснованное мнение других людей. (1-2 аргумента) (объем 40-45 слов)

Привести противоположные точки зрения +
1-2 аргумента
Например: However, some people believe that…
Firstly, …. Secondly, ….
!!! Противоположная точка зрения не должна быть более убедительной чем ваша.
3-й абзац должен быть значительно короче чем 2-й. (75 VS 40)

4 абзац. Ваш контраргумент. (объем 30-35 слов)

Eще один ваш аргумент (почему вы не согласны с противоположной точкой зрения)
Например: I do not agree with the opposing opinion, because …
!!! Ваши контраргументы мнению других людей не должны повторять 2-ой абзац.

5 абзац. Conclusion (заключение)(объем 35-40 слов)

Необходимо сделать вывод, обратившись к заданной в 1-м параграфе теме, что существуют 2 точки зрения на проблему, а также подтвердить собственную точку зрения.
Например: «There are different points of view on this problem. I think that…» или «Taking everything into consideration, there are two different points of view on this problem. I believe that…

Animals should never be kept in zoos.

In today's world zoos have become one of the main entertainments in many cities and towns. People like watching rare, wild, dangerous animals. However, there are those who are sure that it is not right to keep animals in captivity.

( 2 абзац – 92 слова )

In my opinion, by keeping endangered species in zoos, we make sure that they survive. First of all, many modern zoos spend a lot of time, money and energy trying to protect animal species. Consequently, they recreate the conditions like in their natural environment, save animals from extinction. For example, think about giant pandas in Chinese zoos. Secondly, zoos provide people with a unique learning experience. For this reason, people come to the zoo to see those species of animals they would probably never have a chance to see in this area.

On the other hand, some people argue that it is never good to take animals from their natural surroundings. They often suffer because of lack of comfort in small cages, become depressed or go mad .

I do not agree with the opposing opinion as I strongly believe that zoos play an important role in protecting rare animal species.

In conclusion, there are different points of view on this problem. I strongly believe that animals have good life conditions in zoos. People take care of animals. However, some people think that animals should live in freedom, because it is their natural habitat.
