I. Оrganization moment.

-Dear  pupils ! Today we have an unusual  lesson, we have a demonstrative lesson.There are many guests here. You should show your knowledge of the theme, your skills and abilieties.Be active and creative! The theme of our lesson is  «Transport in London».We will talk about kinds of  transport in London and Astana, summarize our grammar material, practice our skills in listening and speaking.

II. Brainstorming.

Look at the board! There are 18 words on the board! Look at them for a minute! Now open your copybooks  and write as many words as you  remember/.Lets check up your memory! Who is the  champion?

III.           Checking  the home task.

Pupils prepare the presentation about means of transport in London and Astana. Lets 

see and listen to them.

Then answer the questions:

How do the people usually travel from place to place? Name, please.

– By bus, by taxi, by horse, by bike, by train, by plane, by ship.

– What transport is the most safe, comfortable and not expensive in London?

– A double-decker bus.

– Is London really a great city?

– Yes, it is.

– Do you pay your attention what colour is English taxi?

– Black taxi.

– What colour are English buses?

 – Red buses.

 – Is travelling by double-decker bus fantastic?

– Yes, of course. I think that travelling by double-decker bus is fantastic.

– Are Londoners like travelling by bike?

– Yes, they are. I believe Londoners are like travelling by bike.

-What types of transport are in Astana?

-There are only buses and taxes in Astana but run very often and there are no problems with the transport there.

ІІІ. Audition .Listen to the dialogue and try to understand it, then do the test which I will give you now

ІV. Let’s refresh in our memory all the words combinations with the words   “to travel by”

V. Grammar. To deal with grammar we will begin with watching a video about usage of gerund, then you will write a test

There are 10 questions in the test. After finishing the test you will see its answers on the board. To check your works you should exchange your copybooks and check each others

VI. Read the text and translate it. In London there is a lot of transport. Let's read about it.

LONDON TRAFFIC

  If you are on holiday in London, travel by bus. London buses are called double-deckers. They have a driver and a conductor. On the side or on the back of the bus to know where the bus is going.

    You can get to most places in London very quickly by the under ground. There are many lines on the London Underground. Buy the ticket from the ticket-office at the Underground station, or from the automatic machine.

    If you are in a hurry, the fastest way of travelling is by-taxi. Their special shape and black color are famous all over the world. The black cabs as they are called have become the symbol of London. . London drivers have green badges on their jackets.

VII. Making the poster. Each group makes the poster on the theme : travelling by train (the 1^st group), travelling by plane(the 2^nd group). You should make SWOT analyses ,write and say about strong, weak sides of travelling , its opportunities and threatens.

VII. Reflection .So, our lesson is going to the end. Write down your hometask: exercise 2,page95. Take the stickers and put it under  any «smile»
