Тема: Природа.Погода
Цель: совершенствовать коммуникативную компетенцию учащихся на основе навыков владения лексическим материалом по данной теме.
Задачи: закрепить лексические единицы по теме « Природа. Погода», сформировать навыки употребления лексических единиц в диалогических и монологических высказываниях; развивать лексические и грамматические навыки говорения, письма, чтения, аудирования; развивать память, мышление, внимание; воспитывать культуру общения, уважительное отношение к мнению собеседника, бережное отношение к природе.


Тип урока: урок закрепления.
Оборудование: учебник, сборник стихотворений С. В. Фурсенко, раздаточный материал, картинки.

Ход урока
1. Starting point. Greeting.
2. Phonetic drill.
T: To prepare us for speaking let’s revise the English poems connected with nature, four seasons.

              

 

3.Warming-up
T: Ask and answer in pairs.
1. In what month does it often rain?
2. Do you often play in autumn? Why?
3. What changes in nature have we got in spring, summer, autumn, winter ?
T: What is your favourite season?
P1: My favourite season is summer. The weather is sunny and hot. I like to lie in the sun and swim in the Azov Sea. What about you?
P2: As for me I don’t like hot summer. I like spring. The weather is not very hot. It is warm. I usually spend spring holidays with my grandparents in the village. It’s so wonderful when nature begins to wake up.
P3: I don’t agree with you, the weather can be changeable in spring. It often rains in spring.
P2:
Тastes differ.
T: How do you understand the following poem?
When the weather is wet, we must not fret.
When the weather is cold, we must not scold.
When the weather is warm, we must not storm.
But be thankful together whatever the weather.
P1: The weather is wonderful in any season.

4.Checking up home-assignment
T: You had to repeat the words according to our topic and make up your own dialogue.
P1: I am going to visit grandparents.
P2: The weather is going to be rainy today.
P1: I’ll take an umbrella.
P2: Be careful! It’s going to be slippery in the city.
P1: You are right. The weather is bad. The wind is blowing. It is cool and wet.
P2: Don't forget to take your umbrella!
P1: Thank you!
T: Look at the picture and describe the weaP1: The weather is rainy in the picture.
P2: The weather is chilly. It is windy. The leaves are falling down.
P3: The weather is cold. It is snowy.
P4: The weather is sunny. Everything is green. The birds and butterflies are flying. The sun is shining brightly.
P5: The weather is cool and foggy. Some birds are flying away.
P6: The weather is cloudy. It is windy (etc).
T: Look at the next picture and explain what weather Ann and Sam like.

P1: Ann’s favourite weather is sunny because she likes to swim and ride a bike.
P2: Sam’s favourite weather is snowy because he likes to make a snowman, ski, play hockey.
T: What weather do your friends like? Why?

Listening
T: Look at the symbols, use the words and fill in the gaps about the weather. Let’s see what weather is like around the world today
.

1.    It is going to be snowy in Oslo. The weather is going to be cold and frosty. The temperature will be about 5 degrees below zero. Be careful! It’s going to be slippery in the city.
2. It is going to be rainy in London. Don’t forget to take an umbrella. The temperature will be about 7 degrees above zero.
3. It is going to be windy and cloudy in Paris. The temperature will be about 10 degrees above zero.
4. The weather is going to be sunny in Rome. The temperature will be about 12 degrees above zero.
